"The Race Base" is a professional training program focused on the preparation race courses in line with FIS standards. It is aimed at snow groomer operators and technical resort staff, and members of the ski race organizing committees.
Our training delivers the technical knowledge, workflows, and safety-critical details required to prepare, operate, and efficiently return a ski slope used for racing back to regular commercial skiing.
Race slopes differ significantly from regular ski slopes used for tourism. The demands on slope geometry, snow consistency and surface hardness are high - as is the responsibility for ensuring the safety of everyone involved.
Our training teaches you how to:
During race preparation, various teams work on the race course at the same time: Snow grooming machines, technical assistants, course officials and organizers. Without a clear communication, this can lead to dangerous situations.
"The Race Base" sensitizes everyone involved to a common understanding of the processes, promotes safety, efficiency and quality - from the first layer of snow to the finished race slope.
Each module can be booked individually or as a complete package - as theoretical instruction, hands-on training or as a powerful combination of both formats.
